MEMBERS MANUAL

The following members manual is designed answer questions and a general statement of policies that are not covered under the rules that each member or guest signs upon entering Northaven Resort

GENERAL PET POLICY

Dear Members and Guests,

So many of our guests enjoy the privilege of bringing their pets to Northaven with them during their stay. We are happy to be able to maintain that policy but we need your help to insure the safety and comfort of our pets, visitors and members.

It is common sense to require that all dogs MUST be leashed at all times and kept quiet while on the Resort property. We additionally request that no dogs be brought to the bonfires, volleyball area, pavilion or especially the grass area around the high traffic areas at the front of the camp.

When walking your dog anywhere on the resort property, take a garbage bag with you to pick up any droppings left by your pet for a variety of reasons.

If you feel it necessary to run your dog unleashed, there are 14 acres of land immediately to the west of the resort between the camp and Antcliff Road. (Remember that you can be seen from the road so NO NUDITY ! )

We hope that you can understand that if you need to be reminded to follow these simple requests, you will also be asked not to bring your pet back to the resort in the future.

Thank you for your anticipated cooperation,

NORTHAVEN RESORT

PET POLICY SECOND WARNING

Dear Members and Guests,
As you know, so many of our guests enjoy the privilege of bringing their pets to Northaven during their stay. It makes Northaven Resort unique in that it allows members to enjoy their stay here without the additional expense to board their dogs as well as the peace of mind knowing that their dog is more comfortable with their owners than in a kennel. We are happy to be able to maintain that policy. UNFORTUNATELY, the pet population at Northaven has grown dramatically and where in the past the leash policy was enforced in the common areas of the camp, it has not been as strictly adhered to back in the members lots. Many members and guests that do not have pets here donít share in the opinion that YOUR pet is harmless. Impulsive dogs, not restrained, also cause serious hazards to other dogs walking on leashes as well as their owners.

Wehope that you can understand that if you need to be reminded MORE THAN ONE TIME, of your responsibility to keep your dog leashed while in the Resort, you will also be asked not to bring your pet back to the resort in the future.

If you feel it necessary to run your dog, there are 18 acres of land immediately to the west of the resort between the camp and Antcliff Road. (Remember that you can be seen from the road so NO NUDITY ! )

LAST LETTER YOU WILL RECEIVE ABOUT YOUR PET

Dear Members and Guests,
As you know, so many of our members and guests enjoy the privilege of bringing their pets to Northaven during their stay. It makes Northaven Resort unique in that it allows members to enjoy their stay here without the additional expense many incur to board their dogs as well as the peace of mind knowing that their dog is more comfortable with their owners than in a kennel.

We are happy to be able to maintain that policy. UNFORTUNATELY, the pet population at Northaven has grown dramatically in proportion to the increased membership over the last two years. In the past, although the leash policy has been aggressively enforced in the high traffic common areas of the camp, it has not been on the lots. Many members and guests are feeling the pressure and annoyance of having to look out for other memberís pets that find themselves dangerously under golf carts and on the roads. When tours are being conducted, it is embarrassing to try and explain why dogs are not on leashes after explaining the leash rules to a new guest.

It is extremely unfair to members that have to be burdened with watching out for others pets while traveling around the resort. If you think how tragic it would be to have someone bring your dead or injured pet to you because they ran over it, you can imagine how bad the member or guest will feel that was been a victim of your negligence.

Please be advised that you WILL NOT BE ASKED MORE THAN ONE TIME, of your responsibility to keep your dog leashed while in the Resort. If you think you will be personally offended, or think that this doesnít apply to your situation or canít get past being told to either put your dog on a leash or keep it in your camper, it would be best that you not to bring your pet to the resort as we will not hesitate to enforce this rule aggressively.

If you feel it necessary to run your dog and give it exercise, there are 18 acres of land immediately to the west of the resort between the camp and Antcliff Road. There is plenty of room away from traffic and members to throw balls and run as much as you want.
