Week #08 – June 22nd, 2024: Newbie Weekend

Thursday

Event: DBT

Location: The G Spot Gazebo

Time: 8 pm

Details: Join us for a showing of Monty Python and the Holy Grail at the gazebo to kick-off our weekend a day early. We will have snacks and drinks but feel free to bring your own or something to share. Pull up a lawn chair or a golf cart and enjoy the show!

Friday

Event: Newbie Welcome Night

Location: The G Spot Gazebo

Time: 9 pm

Details: Join us as we take NHR into the past. Back to a time of Lords & Ladies, Elves & Fairies, Sultry Witches and Sexy Wizards. Come visit the Ye Olde Newbie Welcome booth to enter the drawing for the Newbie Welcome Basket, get your welcome package and a schedule of events for the weekend. Sign up for the Medieval Games on Saturday enjoy a welcome drink with your hosts to start the weekend then join us in Vet/Newbie Icebreaker Game.

Event: Friday night Friendly F’er mingle

Location: The G Spot Gazebo

Time: 9 pm

Details: Please bring a shot to share with a newbie. Newbies will be given special shot glasses to give to the vets after they share a shot. The vet who collects the most shot glasses will be Friendly F’er 2023 and there will be second chance drawing for all who participated.

Event: Bonfire

Location: The Hot Spot

Time: 9 pm

Details: Mingle with us and enjoy a relaxing bonfire. This is a great environment to spend time with friends or make some new ones. Bring your chair, your beverage of choice and have a great time chatting with the vets and newbies. Don’t forget, sharing a shot is a great way to strike up a conversation.

Saturday

Event: Medieval Games

Location: Hotel California Lounge

Time: 12:30 pm

Details: Come to participate or just watch as we have NHR’s unique take on Renaissance Games! We will have jousting, races, and games to take you back to a time of old. Learn your future from the gypsy “Miss Fortune.” The Village Friar will be there, seeking out the naughty and cleansing their sins with “Holy Water” or a trip to the stockade. Enjoy a cold beer in the gazebo or have drinks at the Castle or the Tiki Bar. Games will start at 1:00 but, please, sign up by 12:30.

Event: Pool party

Location: The Wet Spot

Time: 2:30 pm

Details: After the games, head to the pool to cool down and drink up at the Tiki Bar! We will have a rockin’ DJ spinning tunes to keep this party going. And watch out as fantastic, fun foam fills the pool.

Event: Dinner

Location: Gazebo

Time: 5:30 pm

Details: Hamburgers and hot dogs provided. Everyone attending should bring a dish to pass. Please vote for best side-dish…awards given for first, second, and third place.

Event: Dance (theme – GYPSIES, TRAMPS AND THIEVES)

Location: Hotel California Lounge

Time: 9 pm-1 am

Details: Spend the night socializing with the NHR gang. As always, this is a BYOB event. Don’t forget you can pick up beer and wine at the Sexy Sundries General Store! Bring your favorite beverage, your dancing shoes, and your best moves. We will have awards for the Best Medieval costumes, the best gypsies and, of course, the sexiest Tramp at the dance. We will also have an award for the Vet/Newbie Icebreaker Game showing us who are the Friendliest Folks at NHR. We will announce the location of the after-party at the dance.
